Michael Ford moveset in the next Smash bro. game

Post by Waneir on Fri May 08, 2009 3:25 pm

I already posted my ideas and others as well in the member network so go their first so yo could have a pretty good idea on what to post.

I 'm already working Michael's moveset in my computer and finished one already(it's his final smash). I may use other people ideas. If you don't understand what I'm saying I would reply to you or go to the forums about this topic.

Yeah, but it'll probably be for the next Nintendo console. I highly doubt Michael Ford will be in the game, though.

Honestly? Most DS games are trash, but it does have a couple of gems. I don't want to risk the amazing Smash franchise with a handheld, really. It could be a unique idea, though.

On topic, I really, really, really doubt that Mr. Ford would be in the next Smash IF there was another Smash.

Super Smash Bros., and Nintendo in general, has been strongly no-extremely-violent-things-ever. Thats why Snake uses missles instead of bullets, it's why they took out the badass ray gun that was in Smash 64 and added the green laser shooting ray gun from Melee on.

Um, why not? There's plenty of non-bullet guns in the conduit, ie the Deatomizer and Shrieker (thanks SilverBlade Razz). Also, he could have many uses with the ASE.

And SSB:DS Would be pretty cool. It has enough controls (including TS). Butm y stupid L button doesnt work so I don't want it to taunt me if there WAS an SSB: DS.

It's not just that. SSB characters are Nintendo characters only. The only exceptions are Snake and Sonic in SSBB. I guess Sega could make another deal wiht Nintendo to include Micheal Ford, but I doubt it, because Ford isn't as popular as Sonic is.

Uhm what? Are you kidding me? I had no idea who the hell Snake was until smash bros. Popularity means nothing in choosing another character. Besides, Ford will be more popular than sonic starting June 23.. Oh yeah, and Sonic sucked (rolling) balls. Ford could have a much more diverse moveset. All HVS has to do is ask.

Ford won't be as popular as Sonic is. Sonic was created in 1991. He's been in over 50 games and is as popular as Mario himself. Sure, his games aren't very good, but he's very well known. Heck, even I bet Master Chief isn't as popular as Sonic. I'm thinking they only made special deals to include Sonic and Snake because they're two of the most popular characters in video gaming. Why else? I just can't see a random company asking Nintendo to include their character in a SSB game.

Sorry, everyone knew about Snake before Brawl, lol.

everyone includes me, son. Technically, not everybody knew. If I'd ask my sister, she would just tell me to leave her room.

It's called a hyperbole, by the way. Of course Sonic will be more popular. Master Chief? Um what the hell? Master Chief is as popular as .. Wow it took me so long to find a good match. Spyro and Crash Bandicoot are more popular.. Cooking Mama is probably more popular.. Fox.. Luigi.. ANYWAY, Snake isn't one of the most popular characters in video gaming. Do you know why he was let in? Snake was originally meant for Melee but it was too late in production so he had to be put in Brawl. Oh yeah, popularity means everything, now doesn't it? Do you know why Sonic was let in? Millions of SmashBros. fans demanded him in. This obviously means more profit. Nintendo requested to use Sonic from Sega, and voila. Sonic in brawl.

POPULARITY MEANS NOTHING.
High Voltage Software isn't a random company, btw. After The Conduit is released, I'm sure High Voltage will be just as known as Sega to Nintendo.

gg.

Alright. Master Chief wasn't a great example for one the most popular video game characters, compared to Spyro, Crash, Fox, and Luigi.....but Cooking Mama?!

When you said popularity means nothing, you're contradicting yourself. Obviously, popularity doesn't mean EVERYTHING, but why do think fans wanted Snake and Sonic? They're obviously very popular. They got in because of popular demand and more profit. I never said it was everything.

Good point about Sonic.. Snake was specifically requested for melee (by the people who make Metal Gear), and not because of popularity. I mean, Snake uses guns and stuff, so do you think popularity will be enough value to convince them to let Snake in? To further your sentence about Sonic, I'd say it's not because he's popular.. but because there is a great feud between Sonic and Mario, which is just one of the pluses if Sega were to allow HAL to use their mascot.

I see where you're coming from, so I'll just stop arguing. All in all, your finishing sentence summarizes what I was going to say..
