Wifi connection
So what do you guys think about the
Nintendo WiFi connection? is it better for you on certain games?
what do you think could make it better? would servers be a more efficient or
better solution?
For me it works fine, however i only have to wifi games; COD: WAW and SSBB.
I dont know about other games, but it works pretty well for me with those two .
i dont play brawl anymore but WAW is awesome.
so how does it work for you?
what games do you have that it works better or worse on?

Re: Wifi connection
I don't think WAW runs on Nintendo's server. Then again, I have it for the 360, so I wouldn't know.
But by far the best is MK Wii. I still haven't experienced ANY lag.

Re: Wifi connection
I doubt we'll have problems with The Conduit. HVS isn't playin around with this game.

i agree thay have been really working on the graphics and gameplay and i dont think they will just throw in multiplayer without REALLY working on it first, theyll make it as fast and awesome as they can
not like the shity brawl multiplayer

Re: Wifi connection
For FPS shooters, I would want a game lobby.
For racing games, Matchmaking is better.

Re: Wifi connection
I had XBL for over a year and it was great. People always complain about WaW's lag though I experince little lag. Maybe once a month I join a bad match. I never had lag on mario striker, mario kart, or battalion wars 2. From the little online I played for brawl, I was not impressed but that is the developers fault. But I would prefer an ethernet for wii 2. It is just more reliable.
Re: Wifi connection
its capable of using the ethernet cord also, its the wii lan adapter, its similar.
its just most people use there wireless router.

cool cause my best friend lives in.....i forget. but its FAR and we still talk but he doesnt have wifi at his place, so i was gonna get the usb thingy for his bday and i guess now its for sure. Thanks
Re: Wifi connection
I use wireless.. It isn't really the "developers fault".. It could be your problem as well. When my wireless router was right beside my wii, everything was pretty much smooth except for Brawl (because a billion people are online in one squished up server T_T). The only other Wi-Fi game I have is.. um. _cough_ PBR _cough_. No lag on that. I realllyyy wish I had WaW now... Oh well, Conduit will pretty much cover that. + My friends have Modern Warfare + WaW for 360 and they prefer Warfare cuz they don't like the low-tech WWII guns.
For future Wi-Fi.. I'd love to abolish the evil incorporated in the Wii system, aka "FRIEND CODES" *lightning bolts*. Please.. Gamertags and what not work fine.. Or at least a 4 digit code, including the alphabet.. Oh also, I want server selects and lobbies, not some basic matchmaking like in Brawl. I wish they had a friend request system, where a player can set their friend request status to:
Open for Anyone (Always Accept)
Friend Approval (Player must manually accept)
Completely Block (No friend requests allowed, only you can FR)
My future dream of Conduit 2 and other Wi-Fi compatible games.
Wi-Fi > Friend Play(A)/Region Play(B) >
(A) Friend Request(1)/My Online Status/Friend Play(2) > (A1)Type In Game Code [for specific friends]/Choose From Open For Anyone Online Player List [for just adding friends randomly]
(B)Server Select (1-10/Country) > (A2)Room Select [Player-made Rooms] > Lobby > Online game
Oh, and I want a bigger spaced friend roster if this were to happen.
And when you press the home button, a list of any online friends pops up and you can chat with any friends online from any of the games you added (Wii + game code is the same) instead of the useless Wii Menu and Close button.. The only real usefulness of the home button is a) pause the game b) check your wiimote battery..
Could a firmware update add in the wii menu thing? I know the first idea is kind of game-based, but is the wii menu thing possible through update (not that any of this would happen, because Nintendo is a walking bubble-wrapped life vest cut in to non-hazardous unchokable pieces)
