Best story!

Amazing story, and i like the fact that you can use the ASE to uncover more of the plot, and its optional if you would like to do so.

The story is actually what I'm most excited for. I a sucker for great story. I actually want to play the single player more than the multiplayer.

I agree with you Shoko. I am a total sucker for a good story. Ever played either Tales of Symphonia games? Holy crap.

The Conduit's storyline takes place in the near future, as Washington, D.C. is shaken by several tragic and unusual incidents. A mysterious flu-like virus known as "the Bug" has swept through the region, resulting in high-security locations being left understaffed as government workers stay home to try to avoid catching the disease. Months after the initial outbreak, an alleged terrorist attack destroys part of the Washington Monument, and only weeks afterwards on September 11, a presidential candidate is assassinated by another possible terrorist cell disguised as her Secret Service detail, greatly heightening local and national tensions. Following these alarming events, a secretive organization known as the Trust realizes that the capital has become the epicenter for an extraterrestrial attack by an alien race identified as the Drudge. Sent to stop the onslaught, Trust agent Mr. Ford must overcome the onslaught of the Drudge and the virus-infected humans under the Drudge's control, as well as a group of traitorous Trust agents that actively support the invasion.

Maybe the story will be as deep as Metroid or Zelda.

It's one of my favourite things about FPS's, especially in Halo.
I love how you're just scrolling through the rooms and then some Brute
ranomly comes up to you and attacks you, and then you and your partner
are shouting stuff like "run away!!!" or "go to a safe spot so I can respawn!!"
or "don't die, noob!!11!" They said the Quantum engine is so beefed up that
multiple screens will severely slow down the game, which results in the
"no multiplayer" feature I seriously doubt it.. I WISH it were true, because
playing with your friends in person is one of the greatest things about FPSs.
Online will seriously get boring sometimes, so I wish and hope and pray that
they'll somehow magically slide in the multiplayer/co-op feature..

I have to agree. I could EASILY see The Conduit becoming a
movie.. Terrorist attacks, conspiracy, presidential assasinations,
alien invasion, landmark destructions.. that just speaks "epic movie".
A Game will suffice, though... for now.

I don't think it'll be as deep as Metroid or Zelda.. maybe a Mario game >_>'
(no offense intended. Metroid and Zelda are just way too deep, since their
main focus is the story and not multiplayer features.) But the story is
looking pretty good. For an FPS, It's definitely one of the best stories. Sure,
it's cliche, it's overused, it's already done. But the ASE makes things so
much cooler, and I watched both parts of the first level video.. I was already
absorbed into the story. In almost every room, you hear a radio channel or
news report. Once I obliterate all the Drudge and anti-Trust, I'll just plop myself
down in that room and listen to the happenings. Some of them are pretty amusing,
too. I bet at the end, there will be a cliffhanger which will lead into the Conduit 2.
I could already imagine it. Ford's main duty in this game is to find out the REASON
as to why the Drudge is invading. In Conduit 2, I bet your main objective will be
to fight them off, or capture their higher-ups and get them hostage to learn more
about their home planet or something. That'd be pretty cool. Maybe we could
go someplace outside of the US..

Sorry, man. They've already stated that they won't have co-op. But that sequel idea sounds great.

yeah, that's a given.. Along with co-op.

Metroid and zelda has like 6-10 games each, and thay go from the nes to the wii. the conduit will have to kick some real ass to get that kind of aww.

but you see, I'm talking about Zelda/Metroid as one game when saying that.. Conduit already has enough backstory to rival a typical Metroid game. We can't compare The Conduit to a franchise, like the Zelda series, since TC is only one game and it's not really a fair comparison.

my thoughts: 1: they cais that Conduit two WOULD have vehicles, and will only happen if the first ones sales are well (they said that they may even start working on Conduit 2 opening day if sales are great 0_0)
2: Co-op will be in The Grinder, which runs off of Revision 3, so it will probably be in The Conduit 2 as well

3: The Conduit 2 MAY have LAN/System link (They are doing it on The Grinder right now, but no one knows if it will be in the actual game or not)
