Users are getting BANNED-And fixed Glitches

Nintendo has said that at some point they are going to enter the wiis with an update. This update checks for homebrew. If homebrew is present then your internet access to the wii will be disabaled *CROSSES FINGERS*.

Some people claimed that this was illegal to enter their wiis, but the fact that they are hacking a system and ruining a game experience that people bought, give nintendo the right.

This a quote from a member of HVS on Gamefaqs:
"Guys actually the Homebrew channel *is illegal. Its all in the fine print. Technically all your doing is installing a non-approved piece of software using Nintendo code that was never approved by Nintendo, thus making it illegal.

I for one think the homebrew channel is pretty sweet and does some cool things but, once again, the hackers/cheaters ruin if for everyone. Its up to Nintendo to do what they want with the console they made.

I know it sux guys, and for those just using it for simple fun and learning, im with ya, but im telling you now guys, its VERY risky to have it installed. It is "very" easy for Nintendo to see if you have the channel installed once you connect online..."

In other news HVS is talking with nintendo on how to get an update to the wiis that will stop that little white line of death. A firmware update may be required. This happening is unlikly though.

I'm sorry, this is too fake for me to embrace. I haven't installed Homebrew yet because everything always goes wrong on me, so I don't care. But I'm just pointing out the fact that that quote is unrealistic.

I know a teacher who types like that for informal situations.

If this guy is presumable speaking on HVS's behalf on the whole cheating situation, he's not doing a very good job by jeopardizing his position by saying that's he with us, the people who use homebrew (which was constantly named illegal), for "simple fun and learning".

Also, he's not a teacher. I doubt he was being shot at while typing this message. He could have easily took his time to speak on such important matters. >_>

WLoD is when you enter an online match with either a black screen or a spinning gun with a little white line in the center of the screen. You cant move but the game goes on around you.

It's funny, because I'm not speaking on important matters (while he is) and I'm not a member of a professional team, yet people begin to pick out errors at my messages.

as for the whole thing about " simple fun and learning ". i think he means playing japanese games and watching dvds. but even said japanese games are burned on a dvd and that's illegal. So its just illegal fun

Once again, I must say that I don't believe it. Someone always pulls out a threat like that from somewhere and Homebrew always works a way around it. The SD Card menu only aided homebrew hackers, and I don't think Nintendo is going to take a step back.

And yes, I know what he's trying to state, but the fact that he's agreeing on homebrew in a public quote is a bit absurd, if you ask me. I would get homebrew if I could, but I can't. >_> Hacking is illegal, baw baw, whatever.

Wait, what? You don't believe that Nintendo will ban users?

What the TheTopGun said was that Nintendo will ban users from using the Internet if they have Homebrew, and he posted a random quote by some HVS member. Who cares what the HVS member said, or if he said anything?!

The proof we need to see is that link where Nintendo talks about the update.

Well they already have released a firmware update for a wii sports resort problem seen in japan mostly and it might also cover this! Exactly. That's what I was trying to say.

I've searched on the Internet, and found out that Homebrew is not illegal on offline games. It could be if you're using it to hack online game modes. I've even heard people say that you void your warranty if you install it. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Wow. i thought it was also illegal, i knew that it voided your warranty, but if use it offliine i guess its fine, this doesn't include stealing wiiware and virtual console games,but for playing foreign games and watching dvds.

If it isnt illegal for online then it should be. They make $50 games not worth shit. This guy "KNYGYR" could walk through walls. He would grab the ase and walk AROUND the map. He was completely unshootable. He aslo never had to reload. He fired his Scar nonstop.

Another hacker, "Ichimaru" is completely invinsible.


It is not much different from creating a virus on the computer. Both interfere with my online experience.

Thanks for the heads up, it really sucks that we have to do this, but some people are douchebags and don't want anyone else to enjoy the game, but them and at all cost. but who knows, maybe they're only doing it to level up......
